I had the pleasure of seeing Eva Gray in Strindberg's;" Miss Julie" at The Pentameters Theatre in Hampstead. I must say that I thought the direction to be faultless. The set design was magnifiecent and the acting was superb. There were some very strong performances. In particular Eva as Miss Julie was wonderful. Eva scaled the emotional and dramatic highs and lows of the role with aplomb. Sometimes; girlish, trusting, gullable and naive and at others a lusty sex fiend with a thirst for more. I think perhaps Eva's highest attainment was to take us to the existential bring of the character's exisentence, emotional and intellectual collapse and almost slavish self destruction.I should add that Eva's delivery was flawless and full of dramatic tension and her on stage reactions were given with a peak of concentration and focus. I'd strongly recommend Eva to any casting director for roles of similar dramatic import.

I recently saw Eva Gray playing the title role of 'Miss Julie'. She gave an outstanding performance and I managed to get her autograph after the show. I found her to be grounded, intelligent and, in short, drop dead gorgeous! Since then I have become a HUGE fan and look forward to seeing her on the big screen. As a fellow actor I would love the opportunity to work with this wonderful actress as she is everything an actress should be. May your success continue, Eva.

I last saw Eva in Strindberg's Miss Julie at Pentameters Theatre in Hampstead. Let's be clear, Strindberg is not a bundle of laughs. Miss Julie is a short play which packs a hell of a punch and takes the audience on a roller-coaster ride of drama and emotion. This production was set at the end of the 1950s - the 60s are coming and from the background music - rock and roll - we know things will never be the same again. Miis Julie is the daughter of an aristocrat, anxious to break free from the the old ways and embrace the modern world. In the title role, Eva performance, from raging emotion to the merest glance, evinced Miss Julie's strength and vulnerability, her desire to face the new wave on her own terms without realising the consequences, a desire laced with madness and self-destruction. A terrific performance.

I remember meeting Eva a few years ago at the start of her career and as a fellow actor I volunteered to do some photo's for her for her first portfolio shots. Having such a beautiful subject, it was easy! and with her personality and charm it was a real pleasure!

Unfortunately we lost touch after that but I must say that I am glad to have found her and really pleased to see her career is blossoming. Would love to work with her again

It was a great pleasure for me to direct Eva in the lead role of Branwen in J B Priestley's 'The Long Mirror' which toured Yorkshire this April. Eva gave a telling performance in this notoriously difficult part which demands that the actor is not only etherial but believable as a woman in love. Eva pulled it off superbly and kept on thinking about the role throughout the tour so that the Branwen who appeared on the last night was subtly different from the one who stepped out on the opening night. Thanks Eva.

To all it may concern,

Eva Gray is a lovely lady who adds a certain flourish to her roles and isn't to be forgotten. I have not just seen her on stage. She was very helpful to me in the development of my play FLORIDA (now titled THE MESS WE'RE IN), playing an American villain, Catherine Harris, of Florida 2000 stolen election fame. Eva is a gem.

Eva is a good friend of mine who is always willing to help. I recently saw her perform in "After Intimacy" at the Pentameter's Theatre in London, and was very impressed with her work! Her acting ability is clearly visible through her performance, and I personally would love to work with her some time in the future... Well Done Eva!

I had the pleasure of acting with Eva in two plays written by myself which were both two-handers. In "All That Loving Stuff", she brilliantly portrayed Marilyn Monroe, commanding the stage for two hoursand mesmerising the audience with a complete range of emotions. In "Don't Callus, We'll Call you", an original farce, she demonstrated her versatility by portraying seven fully rounded contrasting characters. Equally important, she was positive an innovative ever willing to try out different ideas, a very easy and talented person to work with. And we had lots of laughs too. Harry MacDonald.

Worked recently with Eva on production Dying to Celebrate, she is a commited proffessional and was a pleasure to watch. Even though I only had a small role I enjoyed watching her interaction with other actors and learnt a great deal. Thanks Eva

Eva was the first actress I met after changing my career from Advertising to Acting 7 years ago - I gave her a lift when we were both auditioning in Birmingham for The Killing of Sister George - we've been best friends ever since. She gave me loads of advice when I was starting out - Eva is completely unselfish when it comes to sharing information even with people who others might consider competition. She's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. We've supported each other whenever we're in a show - crossing the country to be there. The first show I saw Eva in was 'All in Vein' at the Actors Centre - I was blown away - she played a character called Tracey Nettle so dryly - I was in stitches. My favourite show of Eva's is her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in 'All That Loving Stuff'. We finally worked together nearly 4 years ago, when I recommended Eva to writer/director Risa Mickenberg in her new play EGG at Soho House. Eva was wonderful and perfect for the part of Kiki (ironically). Always proffessional, enthusiastic and optimistic - Eva is an inspiration!

What a beautiful young lady. Charming, dedicated and very talented. A joy to know and an asset to any project.

I have worked with Eva on a number of productions at thre Cafe Theatre. She has appeared in many performances of our hit play INTIMACY as the flirtatious LULU. At the Pentameters Theatre in Hampsted in October 2003, she played the other characted in the show - the lonely RIRETTE - with great warmth and truth. Eva is just excellent!

I had the pleasure of seeing Eva as Rirrette in Jean-Paul Sartre’s Intimacy; she performed sublimely the role and portrayed all the subtleties of that character submerging the spectators into a romantic post war era in France. I also had the pleasure of working with Eva for a feature film project, in addition to her delightful personality she is truly a talented and committed actress easy to work with. I wish her all the success that she deserves.

It was a real pleasure meeting Eva and working with her in 'Hard Day at Office, Love?' I hope our paths will meet again. She is lovely.

I met Eva a few years ago in a workshop. We did a scene together - playing a couple that was breaking up - and I was dazzled by the truthfulness of her performance, I was really

touched by the pain she conveyed. Her ability to get in touch with the dark and melancholic side of human beings is probably her biggest asset as an actress. On a more personal level, Eva is the embodiment of loyalty, you couldn't wish for a more supportive friend. She is very good-natured, easy to get on with - professionally and personally

-, and very disciplined when she is working. I am confident she will reach the top of her profession: She is talented, commited, and very hard-working, which is the recipe for success. Keep up the good work, Eva!

I wanted to say how much I enjoyed Eva's performance as Marilyn. She gave a poignant and moving performance. The voice was perfect! It is a marvellous rôle and she really did it justice.

Much enjoyed the play. A sensitive portrayal of a talented but flawed lady. (All that loving stuff Wimbledon 27th April 2003).

Eva is a talented, versatile and surprising actress that any film or theatrical production would benefit from considering. Although she would never admit it, she has great comic timing and a sense of self-deprecation that is subtly comical and at times, tragic. She is a fun and positive person to have around any production and I warmly recommend her.

Since first working with Eva on a short film a few years back, I’ve wanted to see more of her work.

In my opinion, Eva has that rare ability to convincingly become the part she is playing.

Rather than purely demonstrating to an audience how they can empathise with character traits, and then show how that character believably influences the story, Eva hides the mechanical elements of her role and leaves you with the impression that you have met, or at least observed, the person portrayed.

I feel that when she is given a pivotal role, Eva can help the audience forget that they are watching a carefully constructed story altogether. She really capitalizes on these skills in the theatre play “All that Loving Stuff”, where she played Marilyn Monroe. Even in an era when Ms Monroe herself regularly appears to return from beyond the grave to advertise everything from After Eight mints to Citroen cars, Eva, under the direction of Harry Macdonald, manages to bring her back to life and immerses us in a very different time and place.

I first worked with Eva many years ago on a very strange fringe production, and at the time showed much promise as an actress. Since then I have seen her in several productions and can say that it has been nice to see her "grow"

This last performance of hers in "All That Loving Stuff" had myself and my guests quite enthralled. Not only a strong and powerful performance, but truely believable! Well Done!

I have directed Eva in one of my short films and not only found her professionalism and commitment to the piece admirable but her friendly nature made the experience a real joy. I look forward to working with her again and in the meantime am excited by the opportunities (rightly) being thrown her way.

It was my pleasure to work with Eva on a new play entitled "Countess" and I must say that, from a directors point of view, she was a delight to work with. She worked extremely hard to make her part a truly memorable one. I hope that I will work with her again in the near future.

I am a playwright & director. Eva did a rehearsed reading of my play Egg. Her perfomance was endearing, innocent and hilarious. Off stage, she was kind, fun, generous and professional, putting much of her time and ideas into the show. She travelling at a distance to rehearsals and was always prompt. She was fully dedicated to her role and to the piece. She put her heart into it and it absolutely showed. Everyone loved her in the piece, including me.

Just to say how much I enjoyed your performance as

Marilyn Monroe. You found the internal something that was the real person

behind the glitz and shared it with your audience. Very touching and

exceedingly well done.

On Saturday 12th October 2002, I went to see 'All That Loving Stuff' with Eva playing the part of Marilyn Monroe in this story of her life. The part was very movingly portrayed on the stage by Eva, with such intensity of feeling that I was moved to tears - a brilliant performance! She really looked the part too, which seemed made for her. In the past, I have seen her in 'Intimacy', which was also very well acted. That script seemed just right for her too. Whatever Eva does, she always puts her heart and soul into it, strives for perfection - and succeeds! Good luck for the future, Eva.

Gorgeous and versatile Eva threw herself into singing solo and in harmony with courage and

tenatious energy,a super star in the making, for my staged rehearsed reading of

"Boudica-A musical Romance of Britains fighting Queen"For me as a first time director she was sensitive to work with and very receptive to the new experimental project contributing marvelously to the show in every respect and hopefully will do in the future when uncle-strawberry-factory.co.uk breaks the ice and gets some funding. You are definitely not a candle in the wind Eva.

Eva, what a wonderful voice you have, and a super personality to go with it. Without your time and effort in recording our audio newsletter here at the Potteries Association for the Blind, the pleasure of listening to your voice as we digest the news would be sadly missed. We wish you every success in your future productions. Fans for ever.

Eva is a very special actress - not only is she extremely talented and professional but also because she is great to work with - very generous, down to earth and understanding. What other actress would help her friends as she does, constantly informing people of any roles they may be suitable for. I worked with her in 'Intimacy' and 'after Intimacy' as well as some presenting work and will always be grateful to her for all her advice and warmth and all the fun we shared.

I also admire her for her sheer hard work and dedication. When performing on stage, or film she has a rare gift of engaging the audience with her presence and her huge, blue eyes are a wonderful asset, full of expression and depth. Her voice is unique so she is is also fantastic for Voice Over. Any cast would be lucky to have Eva on board and I am sure she will have a long and brilliant future - she deserves it!!

I have had the good fortune to work with this fine actress, for me it is a privilege that somone of her experience especially in the professional capacity, accepted a brief role in my short student film. I am immensely pleased to have worked with her, she knew her lines, was concerned about her character and most of all gave the best she could. At my currant exprience as a short film director, I feel that there is nothing that I can explain about acting, speech, voice, movement, she naturally knows her job. I only hope that I can work with her again, until then may doors open to her, this industry I continue to chase, Eva seems to have been there, I beleive that all of us who yet seek a place in the industry, should work with her, seek her advice and experience. It's been fun working with you Eva. Best Wishes. Nadeem Ashraf, www.ukscreen.com/crew/mymovies
